White Curry?

I know there’s red and green curry. But white? Had a chance to taste some white curry during the Penang trip.

DSC01053 The place is located at Abu Siti Lane, Penang.

DSC01054

As the banner says, place is open from 8am-3pm daily and is closed on Mondays.

Here’s a bowl of white curry mee. If you want more “oomph”.. they provide a bowl of curry paste on each table to make the curry turn the usual red color. The curry mee is about RM3.

A plate of “pak cham kai”. Very nice and tender chicken meat. yummy.. cost around RM6 if I remember correctly for half a chicken.

Tropicana City photos

Latest update: Carrefour and GSC not opened yet. Borders is opened, but seems to be lacking a chinese section. Gamers Hideout opening soon.

Shot with the new 50mm F1.4 lens.

The items was brought from Mr. Chin – Studio Zaloon. Very friendly and nice seller. Here’s the address:
UB-14, Upper GF, Pudu Plaza,
Jalan Landak, Off Pudu,
55100 K.L

Soon….my precious

  • Sony F58 flash unit
  • Sony 50mm F1.4 lens

Foreign check finally cleared. Going to do something crazy later after work. Going to “fly” down to Pudu Plaza to get my gear “fix” hahaha… Wonder which is the fastest route to get there. SMART Tunnel? Federal Highway? .. decisions decisions.

Tropicana City Mall – First Impressions

Since today is the opening of Tropicana City Mall, me and the cousin had a quick hop over there during lunch time to scoop out the place. The anchor tenants i.e. Carrefour, GSC and Borders weren’t ready yet. Overall the place is quite spacious feels like IKANO and has 4 levels of shopping – LG, G, L1 and L2.

This was one of the main reasons we were there.

PIC00043

To have a first look at our trusty neighborhood game shop which was due to open. We took a sneak peak inside the shop, even the shelves weren’t ready, wonder when would they be opening. When they do open, that means I don’t have to go all the way to Cineleisure to get my game fix anymore. Sorry for the lack of photos, didn’t take the A300 with me. Will get proper photos of the whole place sometime soon.

Anyway here’s the website to check out the shops available in Tropicana City Mall.

Lowepro Fastpak 250

Finally got a travelling bag for the camera instead of having to carry the PVC box around. Although I still like the fact of being to see the humidity and temperature inside the box. =P

Anyway here are some photos of the new home for the camera during travelling.

It has a perfectly nice spot to put a DSLR camera. Along with 5 other compartments to put your lens and other stuff.

Here’s the top part of the bag, where you can put your wires, handphone? , and any other stuff you can think of.

That space you see there is for your laptop. I had worries whether it can actually fit a DELL Inspiron 6400. Well.. the results is, it actually does although it’s quite a tight fit. I should be using the dell laptop for now until I’ve acquired enough funds for a netbook.
