Went back Ipoh during the weekend for Ching Ming. Surprisingly the crowd this year isn’t as huge compared to last year. Last year, there would be practically a huge layer of smoke above your head. Here are some photos taken on Sunday in Sam Poh Tong, Ipoh

While waiting for my aunt to buy fruits at a road side fruit stall, I whipped out the A300 to take some photos.

Here’s one which I think the results came out quite nice.

Touch HD-ed

My faithful O2 Atom Life phone which served me almost 2 years died a painful death by falling off my bed’s side table while being charged. Sigh.. RIP. And it happened on April Fools. What a fantastic joke. Just when I thought I can at least cut down on spending for the month of April shit like this happens.

Oh well, that means shopping for a new phone.  A few phones comes to mind. Asus, HTC, Samsung. Asus for the P565 with 800Mhz processor. Samsung for the balance between looks and performance. HTC Touch Diamond, Touch 3G and Touch HD. I didn’t like the Touch 3G because It looked to similar to the Touch dual. Touch Diamond… i didn’t really consider that much and then I straight jumped ship to the Touch HD. Which was touted as HTC’s answer to Apple IPhone. It’s looks very sleek and stylish. Price will cause a hole in your wallet though.

The accessories. Extra stylus, USB charger, carrying pouch, ear-phones.

Oh ya, I got this for free and 2 years warranty on the phone by SiS Malaysia.

Still getting myself familiarized with the touch-flo. Initial thoughts are sometimes it can be bit laggy. Other wise, I’m pretty happy with my purchase although it burned a “big” hole in my wallet. T.T

Monster Cable – Interlink 201 Subwoofer

Haven’t been posting lately. =P I had to do a COD today over at Sunway, after the COD I went over to Sunway Pyramid. My target, looking for some subwoofer cables. The old one caused a loud hum whenever the amplifier was turned off.

Here’s what I found over at Harvey Norman.

According to the back of the packaging, those are  24k gold plated rca heads.

It even comes with a Y connector to allow connections to a stereo subwoofer if you have one.

Results: No more mysterious humming noise after the amplifier is off, more solid and noticeable bass and sub-sonics. Well, it’s a bit closer to what I’m trying to get from the subwoofer.

My subwoofer upgrade targets: Velodyne 10 or 12’’ :P
