Roast Pork – Sun Yun Loong
Collected the pork this morning from Ipoh old town’s Sun Yun Loong coffee shop. When we arrived there, there was already a beeline to buy roast pork and cha siu from the stall. Very non-halal post.
A van full of the pre-ordered roast pork.

Golden Point Food Court – Bercham
Went for supper last night at Bercham. Everyone had some craving for pork satay. So we went to Golden Point Food Court where there’s a chinese satay stall.
We ordered a plate of rojak while waiting for the satay to arrive.
Here’s a close up shot of the satay(s).
The very nutty satay sauce.
The amount of sticks we had. =P

Pre-CNY “Lou Sang”
Just came back from lunch with a bunch of colleuges from the office.
Here are the pictures.
After the plate is gone. :P
Some kampung chicken dish.
Pork ribs.
Mushrooms and canned abalone slices
Some special gravy with sting-ray
Stirred fried prawns with leaks (hope i spelled that correctly)
Apparently this place serves a fixed set of menu each day. Basically what you see on the menu over there is what we ate.
The place is located at the corner of Jalan SS9A/2, 47300 Petaling Jaya. It’s right beside the no entry sign.

Grandma’s B’day Dinner
A very special first dish. Not to mention delicious too.
The double boiled chicken and fish maw soup.
Steamed 星斑
Stuffed duck. 八寳鴨
Here’s the b’day cake.
Then the naughty cousin who couldn’t stay still strikes.
Grandma’s B’day
Left KL around 7 on Saturday and reached back in my hometown Ipoh around 8.30+. Saw these on the dinner table.
So far nothing in KL beats Ipoh siew yuk (roast pork).
Kampung Chicken.
The customary birthday eggs.
My grandma preparing the beehun / mee sua by soaking it in chicken soup. Here’s the end result.
Beehun / mee sua with the egg and then you add roast pork / chicken to your bowl by yourself. yummy…
Our family’s ceremony teapot, already existed before I was born. Can be considered antique grade already.
